Lighter

There have been repeated incidents of accidental fires caused by children playing with lighters in European and American countries. In order to ensure the safety of lighter use, the European Commission officially passed Resolution 2006/502/EC on May 11, 2006, requiring member states to take measures to ensure that only lighters equipped with "CR devices" (anti opening devices for children) are sold, and to comply with both the General Product Safety Directive 2001/95/EC and the lighter safety standard EN ISO 9994:2006.
